Block and Allow lists
We can set permissions to allow or block some bookshops from taking content from a specific content owner.
Business Rules
Publica.la offers the possibility to set permissions to allow or restrict the content in the marketplace for certain bookshops to add it to their inventory and sell it.
How it works
Publica.la team members with super-admin permission can block or allow specific bookshops to take content from a content owner in the Marketplace.
When a bookshop is placed in the block list section:
- That bookshop will see the content from that content owner grayed out in the marketplace and won't be able to add it to their catalog.
- In Nova, the blocked content won't be visible at all.
- Other tenants with access to the marketplace won't be affected.
When a bookshop is placed in the allow list section:
- That bookshop will see the content from that content owner normally.
- In Nova, the content will appear as usual.
- Every other bookshop (not on the allow list) will automatically be set as blocked.
These settings are applied on the content owner side. We can restrict or allow access to content in the marketplace by filling out the allow or block list on the content owner side.
This setting applies to new additions of content to the bookshop inventory. If we block a bookshop that has already taken content from that owner, the content will remain in the bookshop's catalog.
How to set it
- Publica.la team members with super-admin permission must access the Nova dashboard of the content owner.
- Go to the left menu
Permissions > Tenants Permissions. - Select Create Tenant Content Permission.
- Select the bookshop you want to block or allow in the Target Tenant ID box.
- Select the type of permission you want to give to that tenant in the Permission Type box.
- To save the changes, click on Create & Add Another or Create Tenants Permission.
If a tenant is set in both lists, the tenant will remain blocked.
