Notebook

The Notebook displays and manages all highlights and notes created within a publication. It opens as a panel showing user-created annotations. Users can view, filter, export, and interact with their highlights and notes. The Notebook is available for PDF and EPUB content only.


Accessing the Notebook

The Notebook button is disabled when offline. Existing annotations remain visible but cannot be modified.


Content Organization

The Notebook provides three views accessible via tabs:

Each tab displays a count of items in that category.


Color Filtering

Highlights use four color options:

Users can filter the display by selecting one or more colors. The filter appears in the footer of the Notebook panel.


Actions per Annotation

Each highlight or note has a dropdown menu with available actions:

Export

The Notebook includes an export feature to download annotations as a text file.

Requirements

To export annotations, the following conditions must be met:

How to Export

  1. Open the Notebook panel
  2. Select the Highlights tab (to export highlights only) or Notes tab (to export notes with highlights)
  3. Optionally filter by color using the color checkboxes in the footer
  4. Click the Export button in the footer

The Export button is not available on the All tab. Users must select either Highlights or Notes to export.

Clicking on a highlight or note text navigates to that location in the document:
